Located approximately 50 miles west of Bogotá, Colombia's capital, this project uses contextual conditions and functional requirements to re-imagine a small weekend retreat for a young couple. The compact footprint efficiently accommodates a living+dining area and a bedroom, separated by a volume of services containing the kitchen, bathroom and storage spaces.

The projects is the result of a negotiation between two main architectural ideas. On the one hand, the client's request for a secluded interior dwelling, somewhat introvert, that can offer a sense of intimacy among the vast landscape; and on the other, a desire to produce an artifact that attempts to establish through its distinct figuration a dialogue with the hills and natural features of the site.
